Join the ECGA Board of Directors

The East Cleveland Growth Association’s Board of Directors (the Board) governs the overall execution of the organization’s mission. Principally, the Board manages organizational finances and sets long term priorities for projects. Additionally, the Board oversees the Executive Director, who is responsible for day-to-day management of the organization. Overall, the members of the Board oversee the operational, management, legal, and financial matters needed to ensure long term organizational stability and ensure year-to-year operational and fiscal excellence for the East Cleveland Growth Association.

Board member responsibilities include, but are not limited to, attendance at regular board meetings (minimum 10 per year), attendance at special or emergency board meetings, provided proper notice was given, as set forth in the bylaws, as well as videoconference meetings and active electronic conversations as part of Board committees. The Board also holds a fiduciary responsibility for management of organizational capital and ensuring appropriate filings with federal, state, and local authorities consistent with the organization’s status as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The attendance policy allows for removal of board members, if three (3) consecutive meetings are missed without notice.
